So you’re throwing a bridal shower for someone but you have no idea what kind of theme to use. Don’t worry! That’s where I come in. And right now, what you need is a black and white bridal shower to make planning easy but elegant.

Why does this theme work? It works due to three things. First, it’s a neutral colour that means you won’t have to worry about certain accents making a mess of your whole theme. Second, since these are common colours you won’t have a problem looking for decorations. Just because its common doesn’t mean it’s dull. You’ll be amazed how simple things can change a dreary room into a sophisticated work of art. And third, it is a fitting symbol for the betrothed which is a union of two opposites.

Now we’ve got that covered we go to the fun parts of preparing your black and white bridal shower. Invitations are first on our list of things to do. A lot of planners, most often than not, tend to focus too much on food and decorations. As a result, they remember the invitations at the very last minute. No one wants you sending them a day before the bridal shower or you’ll get a handful of guests bored and looking at their watches. So get those creative juices flowing and start making those invites. Making your own invitations will be a little time-consuming but the moment guests come in the door and compliment you for an excellent job on what you have done then you’ll know it was all worth it. If you’re lacking in the creative department then don’t panic. You can always buy invitations from the nearest gift shop or specialty shop.

With that vital part of the planning done we move on to food and refreshments. It’s important that you have chocolate goods served. Why? Because it’s a chocolate and that is reason enough. And since you’ll need all the energy for playing games and laughing your hearts out, it is essential to have something that is going to give you a boost so you’ll get the most of your black and white bridal shower. Similarly, alcohol provides you with energy, although a more cheerful and euphoric kind of energy. I recommend using black and white Russians to compliment your theme. Nothing like good quality spirits to get the party going.

Black and White Bridal Shower

Of course, no bridal shower is ever a bridal shower without party favours. This is one of the reasons why my friend goes to bridal showers: Free stuff! And it’s not going to be a black and white bridal shower if you’re not going to stick with the theme. So for the party favours you can use dark chocolate wrapped in white. Remember the part when I said it’s a perfect symbol for the union of opposites? Well, this is the perfect time to explain to your guest that the reason you’re giving them white wrapped chocolate is because you want them to find their other half. If they’re married then tell them that their opposite is waiting at home ready to be opened like a gift just like the party favour. Not only is it splendid to look at but it also has a deep romantic message to ponder about.

To sum it all up, a black and white bridal shower is perfect for an elegant and classy atmosphere that you’d like to achieve. So don’t be afraid to take risks when it comes to planning that perfect bridal shower.

I loved the tips. My friend is getting married soon and I am definitely going to follow these tips. It is also perfect because their wedding is themed black and white so I am excited to take it to a new level for the shower.
