A lot of mothers want the perfect baby shower to celebrate the greatest event in their lives: Creating life. Who wouldn’t? That’s why it’s essential to create a perfect theme for a perfect event. A theme could help make your work a lot easier by allowing you to focus more on your creative ideas and will make decisions easier when it comes to the decorations and invitations. That being said, a perfect theme for an expectant mother would be a pink and blue baby shower. Listed below are the 4 W’s essential in planning for this kind of baby shower.

Why

We shall be using the colours blue and pink since these stimulate the brain. It is said the colour pink improves creativity; A great help when thinking of creative ways to decorate the place where the shower will be held. Another essential stimulant that is needed is the colour blue, since it soothes and relaxes the mind. And we all know how important it is to have a stress-free environment for a mother expecting a child.

Where

A baby shower is usually held in the house of the person who planned the baby shower. It could also be held in the house of the expectant mother (Whichever is less of a hassle.) The best thing about adding a theme to an already decorated house is that the other colours can be used as an accent to your main motif. If the room has darker colours then you can have a little extra pink here and there, but if there are lighter colours then a little extra blue would help balance things out.  And that is exactly why decorators love a pink and blue baby shower: it’s versatile.

When

The best time to plan your pink and blue baby shower is at least 4 weeks before the occasion. This gives you enough time to plan everything and slowly create that perfect blend of pinks and blues in your house.

What

What you need to do first is create the invitations. It is important that you send them out at least 3 weeks before the shower for the guest to be able to pick out the perfect gift and think about the best advice to give. Of course it wouldn’t be a pink and blue baby shower if the colours on the invitations won’t match this. You can try being creative by making your own invitations by cutting out pink good quality paper joined with a light blue ribbon. Another important element is food and refreshments. It would be a good idea to serve healthy chocolate goods to keep the baby healthy. Also, we can serve fresh cold fruit juice to satisfy both the pregnant mother and the guests. One of the best fruits you can juice is the Pomelo. Not only does its pulp have a slightly pink colour to it, it is also the healthiest fruit in the market.

Remembering these four W’s does not only apply to a pink and blue baby shower, but to any kind of baby shower. Keep in mind, that by choosing versatile colours you will not be afraid to take risks in adding accents to the main theme. Now go out there and start planning that baby shower!

This is the perfect theme for my friend’s baby shower. She is expecting twins! A boy and a girl! I was going to go with a unisex color theme like green or yellow but I like this idea so much more. THANK YOU!
